THe message to Garcia ad my five point plan

My interpretation of a message to Garcia

In the message to Garcia the narrator talks about a man named Garcia and how no one could reach him through mail or through telegraph. The President needed someone to take a letter and physically deliver this message to Garcia. This was no ordinary task, Garcia was hiding out in the mountains of Cuba so it would not be easy to find him. The President would need someone special with a good work ethic and someone who doesn't quit because the job is hard. He needs a man who will give it his all and strive for greatness so that Garcia will for sure receive this message.  Someone suggested a man by the name of Rowan and said " if anyone can find Garcia its Rowan."  The President asked Rowan to deliver this message to the man who lives in the mountains of Cuba. This man was different for most men challenged with a task. He asked no questions and did the task as he was told.  After four day of sailing in an open boat Rowan arrived at Cuba. It then took him 31 day to Find Garcia and deliver his message. Rowan was a role model to all workers as he showed his work ethic and how determined he was to get the job done.

 Next the narrator puts you in a situation. You are a boss sitting in your office and you have six clerks within reach. You can call anyone of the six clerks. You call one of them and ask them to look up the life of Correggio and make a quick memorandum of it. Will the clerks say yes and do as he is told or will he ask question about the task trying to make his work easier. Nine times out of ten the clerk will ask questions about his task to make his work easier. It is a fact of life that only one out of ten men who are going into the workforce have good work ethics and will do the jobs as they are told. Most people are distracted by other things that do not involve their task and they get caught up in things that don't matter. Some people are tempted by things that could get them fired or demoted in the company. It is hard to resist temptation and we all know that but we must keep our mind straight and focused on the task given.

What do I take in from all of this

This year is my freshman year of high school and the work only gets harder. High school is a fun place but it is also school so you must stay on top of your school work. In high school you must categorize things like popularity, school work, social gatherings, and sports by what most important and what going to matter the most in the future.  Obviously school comes first and that will never change. In order to do well in life you must take your education very seriously and get educated. You must pay attention in class and not slack off in a class because you don't like it. Yes some class' are harder then others for you but you must have a good work ethic and strive for greatness.  Like in the story most people would give up or quit their task because it was hard or they were just to lazy to do it by themselves.

My five point plan

What am I going to do in high school to help make myself as successful as can be? First off i am going to write all of my assignments down as soon as I get them. If I don't write things down I usually forget them. By writing things down I wont forget my assignment and always hand them in on time. Second off i want to learn new and effective study habits that will help me study each assignment for each class so that i can juggle all of my work for my many different classes. By learning these study habits I will be able to study and get all my work done but as the same time I will be able to hang out with friends and do things I like. Third I will use my free mods as study and homework periods. Free mods are a new thing to me and there are super cool and i look forward to them everyday. They are a great time to do homework and study for a test or exam. They also will help you out if you play a sport and have practice after school. Fourth I will take advantage of meeting up with teachers before and after school. This is a great time to talk about assignments and ask for help if you are struggling in a class. Mr. Shick if you are reading this thank you for helping me set up my blogger account that one morning before school started. By you helping my with my blogger account I was able to turn in my paper on time and get full credit for it. I will diffidently take advantage of this again and meet up with teachers before and after school so that I can be as successful as possible. Last but not least I am only going to be participating in one sport. This will help ensure that I have enough time to do all of my assignments. I used to do two sports and sometimes i would have trouble juggling sports and my school work. These things will help ensure that my freshman year goes as smooth as possible so that I can achieve greatness.
