I think that this is a very smart idea and that this is a very efficient way to help those who need your help. Kiva has been given a 4 star rating and helps 84 different countries and the people in them. About 1.7 million people have made a loan on Kiva and the loan repayment rate is 97.1%. How does Kiva work? First you choose a category such as woman, agriculture, health care , education, etc. Then you choose a borrower and loan them money and in time you will get money back when they make a profit off your loan. This is very high which shows that this is a trusted site and not a scam.

The Kawoural group is a bunch of woman who are asking for 2050 dollars so that they can raise sheep. The mother of the group is aged 46, married and a mother of 6 children aged from 16 to 28 years old. There are four boys and two girls and two of the boys are going to school. This group has been raising sheep for over twenty five years so i think that if I donated i would get my money back because they have been raising sheep for so long. She gets just enough a day to help sustain her family. She is trying to earn money so that she can put her kids through school. They all live in Mali a country in Africa. Mali is the eight biggest country in Africa. The Kawoural group would have lots of space to work on raising there sheep. This site really shows me how hard it is for people to just live with what they need. We take so much for granted in our country because it is all provide for us. I think that donating to this idea will really help those who need it the most.

The second borrower is a woman named Fayza and she is located in Jordan. She is asking for $1425 so that she can help pay for schooling so her son can get a bachelors degree in medical laboratories. I choose her because the health care in countries like Jordan isn't great and I think that get a degree in health is very important for people in developing countries. Fayza is a cook and wants to put he children's education first so that they can have a better life then her. The costs of education are high and as a cook you dont make very much money. It is hard to get a job to pay for education. Fayza also has a daughter in school studying medicine as well. Putting two kids through school for medicine is a challenge especially in a place like Jordan where jobs dont pay as well because of a developing economy. I feel that is would be okay to trust Fayza with money because once there kids get there degree they will make a lot of money because there are not a lot of doctors in Jordan and health care is developing over there. I wish the best to Fayza and hope she gets the money that she needs to help pay for her sons tuition.
