Today in class we continued the power point and learned about the many wars that happened in Greece and how they were fought. We mainly focused on the Persian war. The Greeks vs The Persian. We went over the characteristic of both sides. The Greeks fought to preserve their democracy it was considered an honor to fight in battle and also fought for their land. The Persians, on the other hand, were a huge empire and has great amounts of people but being a soldier was considered a job rather than a duty in Persia. The Greeks were very much a hand to hand combat type of group. The Persians were also a hand to hand combat group but the one difference was that they had archers which could be lethal for 200 yards away.
