Today in western civ we started a new power point and its focuse was on the philosofers. We only got through three of them but still learned a lot about each. First off is Socrates, the greatest of all philosofers.  He looked to science and logic to find answers about stuff that was happening around him and no the gods. The socratic method fostered critical thinking and invovled useing question to make you express your opion.Socrates was charged with curruption of the youth and impeity. He was convicted guilty and was put to death by poison hemlock. Next up is plato the student of Socrates. Plato wrote a book called Apologie and it was the story of Socrates trial. He wrote all about socrates teahings. Last but not least is Aristotle.He was a student of plato and helped foster the idea of Athens as a intelegence destination. He also tutored alexander the great and wrote extensivly about many subjects. Aristotle basically created the first internent.
