Today in class we got into groups of four and decided what we would be working on for our ancient Greece project. My group is Marcus, Riche, Jimmy. We decided to pick the trireme for our project because it looks cool to build and we thought it would be one of the more fun subjects to do our project on. So far we have a couple notes on the trireme from https://www.ancient.eu/trireme/. Here are the notes we have so far.
The Greek trireme was referred to as a key to sea power for the ancient Greeks.

Triremes were easy to maneuver and built for speed with three rows of oars on each side and one man for every war
With it punishing steel front and its three levels of rowers, the Trireme was a weapon like no other.
The Trireme Was invented by the Ancient Phoenicians but adopted into Athens.
Athens had the strongest Navy in the Aegean sea and crushed its opponents.
We decided to build a model of the trireme but we are gonna try to make one bigger then the one Mr.Schick already has.
