today in western civ we went back over some of the notes that were taken yesterday. We talked about the wars but Mr.Schick put a big emphasis on the storyteller named Homer. He was an old blind man who went from town to town tell the same to stories that he had memorized. The lliad and the Odessy. We listened to a short part of the Odessey in class and I thought that it was pretty good. We listened to the part of the book where the man is stuck on an island with a giant cyclops. The man and his crew get stuck in the cave where the monster lives because they were trying to steal his stuff. the monster eats six of his crew and then one night, the man stabs the cyclops in the eye with a giant spear and the monster is blinded. Then the man and his crew get away from the hideous beast. Overall today was just a regular day in Mr. Schick's class.



PS: The Odessey is a good book in my opinion.
